Based in Brooklyn, NY, Dylan Negri has a BFA in Interdisciplinary Sculpture from the Maryland Institute College of Art and also has a Concentration in ceramics. Dylan has always been drawn to many forms of expression: Dylan often finds an outlet through games and play, both physical and digital, team and individual sport. However, once he attended college he found his Niche to be in the Arts, because it allowed him to express himself by his own terms. After finishing his degree, he stayed another year working in Baltimore but then decided to move to Brooklyn, NY in 2014. It was there he worked as a contractor at a wood/metal shop learning many technical skills installing high end commercial and residential jobs throughout NYC.
During this time, he continued his sculptural practice showing work in some high profile exhibitions and a museums. Dylan often utilized sculpture and installation in his work, because it relates to human scale due to its physical nature. Although, he is now experimenting with technology as a medium to explore a new dialog with modern culture. Dylan is now enrolled at the Parsons School of Design at the New School working for his MFA in Design and Technology.
